About Karla

Hello, I'm Karla.

I am a Clinical Psychotherapist and Social Care Professional with over 15 years' experience supporting vulnerable teenagers, adults and families across a variety of social care, community and therapeutic settings.

Throughout my career, I have worked with people facing a broad range of challenges including anxiety, depression, trauma, attachment related issues, relationship difficulties, confidence issues, burnout, workplace stress, grief and significant life transitions.

Alongside my psychotherapy work, I have extensive experience within social care services, including 15 years in leadership and management roles. As a mother, therapist and social care professional, the combination of clinical, social care and personal experience allows me to bring a holistic understanding of the many factors that can influence emotional wellbeing and personal development.

My particular areas of interest include trauma, attachment, resilience and relationship and my aim is for clients to feel more empowered in their life.

I believe that every person deserves to feel heard, understood and supported. My aim is to provide a warm, compassionate and non-judgemental space where clients can explore their experiences safely and at their own pace.

I understand personally and professionally that reaching out for support can feel daunting. Taking that first step takes courage, and I am committed to ensuring that clients feel respected, empowered and supported throughout their therapeutic journey.
